Core & Lifestyle Vaccines for Cats & Dogs

Keeping up with pet vaccinations and knowing what’s right for your four-legged family member can be tricky, but we’ll always work with you to select the best options. Core vaccines are required, while lifestyle vaccines are given based on factors such as age, breed, size, medical history, and risk of exposure.

We offer the following core and lifestyle vaccines for cats and dogs in Jeffersonville:

Along with their core vaccines, all of our canine lodging guests must also be vaccinated for Bordetella and canine influenza.

What Is Canine Influenza & Why Should I Vaccinate My Dog for It?

Canine influenza virus, or CIV, is a highly contagious virus that has two strains. At Eastside Animal Hospital, we carry the bivalent flu vaccine, which offers pets immunity against both strains of the virus. Due to the outbreak taking place in the American Southwest, we require that any pets scheduled for Lodging appointments receive this flu vaccine. Canine flu spreads quickly and can even be fatal, so we want your pet protected. Feel free to call us any time if you have questions about canine flu or the bivalent vaccine we offer.

Not Sure What Your Pet Needs?

We can help! Your veterinarian will evaluate your pet’s medical history and discuss their lifestyle with you to create the most appropriate vaccine schedule. Pet vaccinations aid your pet’s immune system in recognizing and destroying intrusive viruses, so they’re crucial to your pet’s continued good health.

If your four-legged friend is due for their vaccines and you’d like to make an appointment, give us a call today at (812) 282-3855.
